Who was your favorite Disney character growing up?

My memory with Disney, is me riding in the backseat listening to Aladdin’s “A Whole New World” on a CD player. I whisper the lyrics “Hold your breath, it gets better” - when my mother (not having context on the song) snorts out laughing, swerves the car. She had me take up violin soon after.

Asking a Disney question, as this week’s MoneyBites guest Ashley Jung Kim’s love for Disney is unparalleled. She’s been to a Disney theme park 400+ days in her life. I haven't laughed this much in a podcast. Ashley shares her intense affection for Disney, while sprinkling in her career journey - from the start of her career at Time Inc. (she built some amazing memories while living with her grandma + saved enough to buy her first home afterwards), to her work experience taste tasing ice cream as a finance manager at Unilever, and later at Meta.

What inspired me from the chat was how Ashley navigated career aspirations with her family needs. Kudos to all working moms recognizing you win some, you lose some. And that keeping a healthy balance is in itself a victory.
